This period spans five days when the Moon transits through the nakshatras (lunar mansions) Dhanishtha, Shatabhisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada, and Revati. 4. Homa (Fire Ritual): A homa is performed with specific mantras from the Vedic scriptures. Offerings are made to the sacred fire to appease the planetary influences and purify the environment.
5. Recitation of Mantras: Chanting of mantras like the Vishnu Sahasranama and the Navagraha Stotra plays a central role in invoking divine grace.
6. Charity and Distribution: Donating food, clothes, and other essentials to the needy marks the completion of the ritual, signifying selflessness and gratitude.
